Jungle Safari in Nepal
Topping the list of ‘Things to do in Asia’, Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park is the
adventurous journey into the Chitwan which when translated becomes ’The heart of the
Jungle.’
Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park is the thrilling journey through the subtropical

and riverine woods which are chiefly dominated by Sal trees. It gives us the opportunity
to view many ferocious beasts, wide varieties of tropical flowers and numerous local and
migratory birds.

The significance of Chitwan National Park can be realized by the very fact of it being
enlisted as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stretching over 932sqkm of an area, it
covers the Churia Hills, lakes and flood plains of Rapti, Narayani and Reu Rivers. It is the
first National Park of Nepal. Prior to being declared as the National Park in 1970, the

forest in the inner Terai was being used as the hunting Reserve for Rana families and their
guests till the year 1950.

Once arriving at the gates of Chitwan National Park, we will get to choose from the
multiple options to explore the deep woods. Jungle Walk, canoe trips, jeep safari, bird
watching and elephant back ride are exciting ways to explore the park.
