Naar Phu Kangla Pass (Manang Tilicho Pass)

Trip Overview Naar Phu Kangla Pass (Manang Tilicho Pass)

Naar Phu Kangla Pass Trekking is one of the interesting trekking destinations in Nepal that is located in quite remote region of the Western Nepal. It is a relatively new trekking destination as it was first opened to the tourists since 2003. Naar Phu Kangla Pass Trekking takes you to the remote valley of Naar Phu which is predominantly inhabited by the Nepalese Tibetans. It is also popularly called as the ‘Hidden Valley Trek’ as the region is mostly hidden to the outward world, lying somewhere in the laps of Annapurna region. Naar Phu Kangla Pass Trek is a tough and strenuous trek by category as it encompasses several high passes like Masokanto La Pass (5121m), Tilicho Pass (4920m), Kangla Pass (5200m) and several other small passes. The magnificent Tilicho Lake is another point of attraction of this trek. The maximum altitude which you come across during this trek is 5200 meters when you cross the popular Kangla Pass. The best season for the trek to Naar Phu Valley is between the months of March to May and September to November. Naar Phu Valley Trek, besides the thrills of trekking and adventure, also provides the trekkers with the opportunity to have a look at the rural lifestyle of Nepalese people of the Western region. You can also do bird watching during the course of trek in addition to viewing some of the mountain peaks of Manag region. On the way, you will encounter several small monasteries including the popular one Tashi Lakhang, which is one of the oldest monasteries in Manang. All these things make Naar Phu Kangla Pass Trek as an interesting and lively trek. It also offers incredible views of the Annapurna Mountain Range, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre Himal, Manaslu Himal, among others. As Naar Phu Valley Trek is a special kind of trek, hence, it needs special kind of trekking permit for the same. However, you don’t have to worry much about it as Alpinezone Treks will take care of that, making you easier to solely focus and enjoy the trekking along the trails in Manang. The valley Naar Phu is one of the highlights of the trek, so are the unlimited passes which you come across during the trip.
