Royal Chitawan National park jungle safari

Trip Overview Royal Chitawan National park jungle safari

Topping the list of ‘Things to do in Asia’, Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park is the adventurous journey into the Chitwan which when translated becomes ’The heart of the Jungle.’ Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park is the thrilling journey through the subtropical and riverine woods which are chiefly dominated by Sal trees. It gives us the opportunity to view many ferocious beasts, wide varieties of tropical flowers and numerous local and migratory birds.

The significance of Chitwan National Park can be realized by the very fact of it being enlisted as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stretching over 932sqkm of an area, it covers the Churia Hills, lakes and flood plains of Rapti, Narayani and Reu Rivers. It is the first National Park of Nepal. Prior to being declared as the National Park in 1970, the forest in the inner Terai was being used as the hunting Reserve for Rana families and their guests till the year 1950.Once arriving at the gates of Chitwan National Park, we will get to choose from the multiple options to explore the deep woods. Jungle Walk, canoe trips, jeep safari, bird watching and elephant back ride are exciting ways to explore the park.

Jungle Walk:

The trees in the park are secured enough to take a jungle walk. But you need to be cautious not to walk alone in the jungle. Always travel with a guide and follow the
instructions of your guide.

Canoe Trips:
The amazing canoe trip along the turbulent Rapti River will bless us with an opportunity to
have a glimpse of crocodiles and water birds.

Jeep Safari:

Jeep Safari is an exciting way of having close observation of raging rhinos, deers and other wild lives. The drive along the bumps of the dirt road will be a ride of your lifetime.

Bird Watching:

Diverse species of birds like florican bird, red- headed trogon, bareheaded geese and hornbill along with some endangered species have found their home in the woods of the park. In the winter, birds migrate to these woods from as far as Siberia.

Getting advantage of height is the one thing that differentiates elephant ride from \Jeep Safari. Elephant Back Ride offers the better views of wide varieties of wildlife like rare one horned Rhinoceros, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Stripped Hyena, Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog and other mammals.
