The challenging trek into the remote vicinities along with highly unpredictable climatic conditions makes Langtang Ganjala Pass trek full of surprises. Existing to the north of Kathmandu and at the close proximity to Tibetan border, Langtang Ganja La Pass Trek is a popular trekking in the famed Langtang valley. Then it traverses through the deep woods of Langtang National Park, which renders shelter to diverse species of floras and faunas. The wildlife includes migratory birds, Pika, deer, monkeys and Himalayan goat named Thar.
Trekking experts from ‘Alpine Zone Treks’ have devised 16-day trekking package that starts with 9 hours of picturesque driving through the serpentine road with appealing views of mountains, paddy fields, terraces and cascading waterfalls at the backdrop. Entering the Nuwakot district from Kathmandu, we will persevere along the tranquil premises of Osho Tapoban- a famed Meditation Center that teaches Meditation techniques based on the eastern spiritual Master Shree Rajanish Osho and travel by the side of Kakani, the popular hill station to Dhunche where we will be briefly stopping prior to heading towards Syabrubesi that sets into motion the electrifying travel experience to the Langtang Village, the biggest Tamang settlement in Langtang Valley, which still retains its primordial culture and traditions untouched with modern influences.
Walking along the river bed of Langtang River, we will be visiting Kyangjin Gompa that is a monastery which remains enclosed by Langtang Lirung, Yarja, Dorje Lakpa and other Tibetan mountains. Paying visit to the cheese factory, we will progress forward to Ganja La Pass (5122 meters), the highest point of Langtang Ganjala Pass trek. Rejoicing in the astounding vistas of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Lang Sisa and other Tibetan mountains and Yangri Khola, we will get down to Keldang and move across several Tamang settlements of Dukpu, Tarkegyang and Shermathang to arrive at Melamchi Pul, which concludes the trekking as we take a 3 hour drive to get back to Kathmandu.
The most challenging section of Langtang Ganjala Pass trekking is undoubtedly be Ganjala pass, which demands equipments like crampon, ice axe and fixing ropes. However, the sights it bestows will significantly offset the trouble we have to endure.
